Anthony Ecuyer (Atelier 808) is making the leap across the border: Heading for the 2026 French Supermotard Championship

There are seasons that smell of battle. For Anthony Ecuyer, head of Atelier 808 in Granges (VS), the year 2026 has everything that defines a fresh start: that of a rider who is putting his “racing helmet” back on and signing up with Team Trebad in the Challenger class for one of the most demanding and best-organized championships in French Supermoto racing.

Behind this announcement lies a mix that is typical of supermoto racing: performance, dedication… and that one element that true enthusiasts always keep in mind: fun.

A running career

This isn’t Anthony’s first time competing. He made his competitive debut in 2006 and subsequently gained experience on various race tracks: five seasons in the Swiss Championship (2014–2018), followed by appearances in the national championships of Italy and Germany. Highlight: two appearances at the Superbike Final in Mettet, resulting in a top-20 finish.

Team Trebad: a club accustomed to excellence

For the 2026 season, Anthony is joining Team Trebad, a Lyon-based team with a long history in the French racing series. The stated goal is clear: to deliver top-level performance without losing sight of the spirit that defines the paddock—with a season built around a driver duo and a shared objective.

That’s often what makes the difference in Supermoto: the technology, sure… but also the support, the fine-tuning, and the consistency throughout the entire weekend.

The motorcycle: an FS450 that has been tuned for racing

As for the bike, Anthony will be riding a Husqvarna FS450, a model known for its agility, especially when equipped like a true race bike. The lineup features top-of-the-line equipment:

  • Öhlins fork
  • SUPERTRAXX Shock Absorbers
  • BERINGER Brake System
  • MTR Swivel Arm
  • ALPINA Wheels
  • SUTER Anti-Hopping Clutch

A setup focused on “efficiency”: grip, stability under braking, and traction that’s less forgiving of mistakes… but all the more rewarding.

Why the French Championship?

The French Supermotard Championship is appealing because it meets several criteria: permanent race tracks, a high level of safety, and a race calendar that covers various regions. In short: a truly “clean” championship, ideal for competing, making progress, and comparing your pace to that of the best.

2026 Calendar: Six Key Dates (and One Additional Date from the First Season)

Anthony is expected to compete in the following stages of the 2026 French Championship:

  • April 25–26: Le Val d’Argenton (79)
  • June 6–7: Lohéac (35)
  • July 4–5: Rouen (76)
  • July 25–26: Saint-Amand Colombiers (18)
  • August 29–30: Albi (81)
  • September 12–13: Villars-sous-Écot (25)

Be sure to keep an eye on them (and visit their studio)

Results aside, a season like this always says something: evolving setups, tires that can gain (or lose) a tenth of a second, starts, comebacks… and that particular pressure that comes with switching championships.

For anyone who wants to experience this passion firsthand: Anthony is also a partner of the Swiss Moto Pass; you can find him at Atelier 808, Route du Moulin 48, 3977 Granges (VS).

We wish him a 2026 season full of energy… and with a smile under his helmet.
